Independent Schools Inspectorate
The Independent Schools Inspectorate visited Radley to carry out a boarding inspection in February 2016 and a full inspection in February 2019.
The 2016 inspection was based on the National Minimum Standards for Boarding and so grades are not given. We were found to be compliant in all areas.
In the 2019 report, as well as reporting that the college is fully compliant, inspectors were also required to grade "pupils' achievements" and "pupils' personal development" as "excellent", "good", "sound" or "unsatisfactory".
To have achieved the top grade in both categories is an enormous tribute to all that the boys and the teaching and non-teaching staff do at Radley, and we are delighted that an experienced team of inspectors has recognised the quality of the education we offer.
Rest assured, we will certainly not rest on our laurels. There are always improvements to be made and the self-critical approach of Common Room and Council will remain one of the strengths of the school.
