Head of Academic Support

April 2021

Radley College seeks to appoint a Head of Academic Support to lead this department from April 2021. The successful candidate will be responsible for the strategic development of the school's Special Educational Needs (SEND) provision and oversight of the day-to-day operation of that policy with the aim of raising SEND pupil achievement.

They will lead and manage a strong team diagnosing, teaching and guiding boys with learning difficulties. Working closely with other departments they will be responsible for the provision of excellent levels of support relating to boys' special education needs and examination arrangements within the school. An element of teaching lessons might be possible but not considered essential. 

The College has its own generous salary scale and the majority of staff are accommodated on, or a few minutes walk away, from the campus.

Geography - Graduate Assistant

January 2021

Radley College seeks to appoint a Geography Graduate Assistant to work at the school for the Lent and Summer terms 2021. The position is designed to give a recent graduate in Geography (or in a related subject) the opportunity to gain experience of teaching 13-18 year olds. It is very possible that a full-time post will be available in September 2021.

You will teach a reduced workload- about 5 forty-minute periods per week. We will give the necessary training and also provide the opportunity for lesson observation. In addition to a salary and an excellent working environment, the College will seek to provide accommodation and meals during term time are free.

DJ and Production Music Teacher

January 2021

We are seeking to appoint a dedicated, experienced and inspirational part-time DJ and Music Production teacher to join a thriving music department. This position is for one day a week and will include individual tuition of DJ and music production students, group music production tuition and a key role in the weekly Radley bands night.

The music department offers a dedicated recording studio and full support for music technology. Students are offered a range of opportunities to perform and compose at all levels of ability, from informal band nights to high-profile contemporary music events.

As well as a knowledge of teaching strategies and adaptability to the individual aims and interests of each pupil, the successful applicant will show an active interest in current contemporary and popular music and in their own professional development as a teacher and composer/performer. A working knowledge of Logic is essential.
