Funded Places Awards

Means-tested awards of up to 100% are available to those who gain a scholarship. We offer scholarships in the following areas: academic, music, sport, art and drama.

The process, for anyone who requires financial support beyond 5% of the annual fees is as follows:

  • Contact the Registrar as early as possible.  We will arrange a visit for you to see the school and meet the Warden.  If your son is talented in either music or sport, we will try to arrange an audition or trial with the relevant department.
  • If you wish to proceed with the application, you can download the scholarship application form anytime from 1 June in the year before entry (Year 8).  We will send a Financial Circumstances Form to anyone who needs financial support, which you will need to complete and return before your son comes for his scholarship assessment (Year 8).
  • Results will be sent around two weeks after the scholarship assessment day.  If your son is successful in gaining an award we will let you know the level of support that we are able offer, taking into account your family’s financial circumstances.

Sophie Langdale
Director of Admissions and Communications
Born and bred in a boarding school, three generations of my family were educated at Radley – my father, brother and son – so I am very proud to be part of this wonderful, dynamic and caring community. I joined Radley in September 2020 from Wycombe Abbey, a girls’ boarding school, where I was Director of Admissions. Prior to that I was Director of Admissions and External Relations at Magdalen College School, Oxford for nearly a decade. Having read Classics and played a lot of lacrosse at Durham University, my early career spanned fifteen years in finance and broadcast journalism at Sky News. I live in Oxford with my two children. I very much look forward to welcoming you to Radley, getting to know you and your son and guiding you through the admissions process.
